The trend of Bhojpuri language has been seen in Hindi films. From Dilip Kumar to Aamir Khan have spoken dialogues in Bhojpuri on screen. But do you know that there is also a song in Govinda’s career which is the Hindi version of a Bhojpuri song. T-Series owner Gulshan Kumar had come to a village in Bihar after hearing this song. When this song was narrated to lyricist Sameer, he changed its lyrics for the Hindi audience. This popular song is included in Govinda’s most hit songs.

This Hindi song is made from Bhojpuri song

Lyricist Sameer Anjaan had told in one of his interviews that he once went to the house of T-Series owner Gulshan Kumar. Gulshan Kumar took him to a corner of his bedroom and sang him some lines of a folk song in Bhojpuri language. Sameer told that Gulshan Kumar was a good listener. He knew that the song he had found could do wonders. The lyrics of the song he narrated to Sameer were ‘Jab se sipahiya se bhail havaldar ki nathuniye se goli maare’. Gulshan Kumar requested Sameer to make a Hindi version of it.

Govinda’s dance did wonders

Later, Sameer narrated this one line of the song to the music director duo Anand-Milind. He liked the lyrics and after that in a meeting a Hindi version of this song was made. When this song was ready, it was used in Govinda and Raveena Tandon’s film ‘Dulhe Raja’ released in 1998. That song was ‘Apne Diwane Ka Kar De Bura Hal Ki Ankhi Se Goli Maare’. Raveena and Govinda’s dance and expressions made this song memorable forever. Later, a film was also made with the name of this song which could not do the same wonders.

Altaf Raja got a chance

There is also an anecdote about the singer of this song. Sameer Anjaan had told in the same interview that Altaf Raja was called to sing the first song. At that time his song ‘Tum To Thaare Pardesi’ became very famous at that time. In such a situation, he increased his fees. Because of this, this song went out of his hands and reached Sonu Nigam. Later this song also became included in the hit songs of Govinda’s career.
