The ongoing political ruckus regarding the film ‘The Kashmir Files’, centered on Kashmiri Pandits, does not seem to stop. Now Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has made a scathing attack on BJP on this issue. During his speech in the Vidhan Sabha on 24 March, he said that ‘Today the Bharatiya Janata Party is putting up posters of a picture in the street all over the country. Did you come to do politics, put up posters of pictures? How would you answer your children? Children will ask what do you do… I put up picture posters.
Kejriwal launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that after running the government for 8 years, if the Prime Minister of a country has to take shelter at the feet of Vivek Agnihotri, it means that that Prime Minister has not done any work. Wasted 8 years. They are saying that free Kashmir files… Hey put them on YouTube, it will be free. Why are you getting it tax free? If you have this much hobby, then put Vivek Agnihotri on YouTube, all the people will see it within a day. Some people are earning crores and crores in the name of Kashmiri Pandits and you have given the task of putting up posters. Open your eyes….’
Delhi CM Kejriwal said that you have given some work to the people. Earlier there was agriculture law…Modi ji had to be applauded. Now Kashmir Files has arrived. Running like sheep and goats. Open your mind
Tax free in BJP ruled states: Amidst the ongoing tussle over The Kashmir Files, the film has been made tax-free by all BJP-ruled states. This includes the governments of states like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka, Tripura and Goa. The Karnataka government has made arrangements for its MLAs to watch a special show of the film. In many states, government employees were also given half a day’s leave to watch films.
‘Whoever doesn’t like make another film’: Let us tell you that in the midst of a section of protests over The Kashmir Files, PM Narendra Modi had also reacted sharply in the past and in a way was seen taking a stand in favor of the film. He had said that a film named The Kashmir Files has come out and an ecosystem has gone against it. The truth that was suppressed for a long time has now come to the fore. If someone feels that the truth is not shown in the film, then he can make his second film.
Meeting with PM-Home Minister, security of Y category: Amidst all the controversies, the film’s director Vivek Agnihotri, actor Anupam Kher and other actors met PM Narendra Modi in the past. Later, Home Minister Amit Shah, UP CM Yogi Adityanath and many other leaders also met and pictures of this meeting were released from their official handle. Meanwhile, the central government also provided Y category security to Vivek Agnihotri.
Propaganda charge, counterattack as wellThere is also an allegation of propaganda on The Kashmir Files. A section is terming all the scenes shown in this film as false and is also presenting all the arguments in its favor. The second class is also countering this. In the past, the famous poet Dr. Kumar Vishwas had reacted sharply to the allegations of propaganda. He had said that films made on ‘heard’ tales of the 80-year-old world war are ‘necessary documents of time’ for some people but people are uncomfortable with the film on a “naked helpless truth” that happened before the eyes? Truth is for those who have the strength to bear it….
