Gautam Gambhir wants to start with a win, the bigwigs had to cancel their holidays

Team India arrived on Sri Lanka tour, when is the first match, note down the full program

New Delhi. Gautam Gambhir has reached Sri Lanka for his first series as Indian coach. This veteran, who has won the World Cup twice as a player for Team India, intends to start his new innings with a win. Gambhir has completed his preparations for this. Along with the selectors, he has given place to strong players in the T20 and ODI teams. He even got Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli’s leave cancelled for the ODI series.

Everyone’s eyes are on the series to be played between India and Sri Lanka. After Rahul Dravid’s contract with Team India ended, Gautam Gambhir has been given the responsibility of the head coach. After joining the team, this veteran has come directly to the Sri Lanka tour. Chief selector Ajit Agarkar also said the same thing in the press conference that we are meeting for the first time. Gambhir sat with the selection committee through video conference during the team selection. There was no problem with the T20 team on the Sri Lanka tour, but before the ODI team selection, Gambhir had to request two veterans to cancel their leave.

Leave of two veterans cancelled
It was only after Gautam Gambhir was chosen as the coach of Team India that it came to light that he had requested captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli not to take a break in the series. Accepting the new coach’s advice, both of them cancelled their leave and became available for team selection. Gambhir intends to start with a win in both the series to be played on his first tour. Although the Sri Lankan team is not the same as before, it would still be a mistake to underestimate the hosts at home.
