New Delhi, May 8 (IANS). Becoming a mother is a beautiful time of life, hence after pregnancy and delivery, health experts give many precautions as well as effective tips related to the health of the baby and mother. They say that after delivery, not only the physical but also the mental health of the mother is important.
After the birth of the child, the mother’s health is as important as before. There is a lot of stress on the body during delivery, hence even after the birth of the child, the mother needs special care, proper nutrition and adequate rest. Health experts say that if the mother is taken proper care during this period, she recovers quickly and is also able to take better care of the baby.
After delivery the mother should take a balanced diet. Iron-rich food compensates for the lack of blood in the body. Protein strengthens the muscles of the body. Drinking milk, pulses, green vegetables, fruits and adequate amount of water is very beneficial for the physical health of the mother. These things not only strengthen the body from inside but also increase milk production.
Many new mothers face emotional ups and downs, fatigue or depression after delivery. In such a situation, the family should also keep the mother’s mental health in mind. Adequate rest along with proper eating habits and family support makes the mother mentally strong.
After delivery, some light yoga asanas help in improving the health of the mother. These asanas are helpful in reducing back pain, fatigue and making the body flexible. However, before starting any yoga asana, definitely consult a doctor or yoga expert. Do not do too much vigorous exercise in the initial days. What to do: Take a nutritious and balanced diet and drink plenty of water. Get enough sleep and rest. Also, take support from family and take medicines and supplements as prescribed by the doctor.
After delivery, the mother should consult a doctor before trying any home remedy. A healthy mother is the foundation of a healthy child. Experts say that after delivery, the mother should be taken care of not only physically but also emotionally. With proper nutrition, rest and positive environment, the mother recovers quickly.
