Apart from this, there are some special symptoms which are seen in women suffering from AIDS.

**Changes in menstrual cycle**
There may be changes in the menstrual cycle of women suffering from AIDS. This may include too little or too much bleeding, missing periods, or severe PMS symptoms. These changes occur because the virus attacks the immune system and affects hormone levels.

**Bacterial vaginosis**
Women can get bacterial vaginosis. Symptoms may include vaginal discharge, itching, burning sensation when urinating, thin or watery discharge, and a strong odor from the vagina. The risk of these problems increases significantly when there is HIV infection.

**vaginal yeast infection**
Women can get vaginal yeast infection due to AIDS. Symptoms include thick white vaginal discharge, pain while urinating, pain during sex, and pain in the vagina.

**coating on tongue**

**Skin changes**
Skin changes are often seen in AIDS. There may be rashes or red spots on the skin and small lumps may also form.

**Weight loss**
Losing weight without any reason or without effort is a common symptom of AIDS. Rapid weight loss should not be ignored.
