Are you troubled by indigestion? You will get permanent relief from these Ayurvedic remedies

बदहजमी से हैं परेशान? इन आयुर्वेदिक उपायों से मिलेगा परमानेंट छुटकारा

New Delhi, October 23 (IANS). Sometimes it happens that after eating food, the stomach starts feeling heavy, belching keeps coming or it feels like the food is stuck in the throat. If this is happening, then understand that you are surrounded by indigestion. This seemingly minor problem is actually a sign of imbalance in the body’s digestive system.

In Ayurveda, indigestion is called indigestion. When the digestive fire becomes weak and food is not digested properly, problems like heaviness in the stomach, gas, belching, nausea or headache start occurring. This condition occurs due to formation of Aam Dosha i.e. underdigested food, which gradually affects the body like poison and can become the root of many diseases.

The main causes of indigestion include eating too early or late, fried and spicy foods, eating late at night, stress and anxiety, not drinking enough water or drinking cold water. Modern lifestyle and busy routine also affects the digestive system, due to which this problem is seen frequently.

To get relief from this, some easy and effective home remedies can be adopted. Celery and black salt are a great option. Mixing a pinch of black salt in one spoon of celery and eating it with lukewarm water immediately reduces gas, belching and heaviness in the stomach.

The mixture of lemon and ginger also speeds up digestion. Taking one spoon ginger juice, half lemon and a pinch of rock salt before meals keeps the stomach fire active and food gets easily digested. Taking myrobalan before sleeping at night improves digestion and removes common stomach disorders.

Mint and basil tea soothes burning sensation, heaviness and cramps in the stomach, while asafoetida water provides instant relief from gas and indigestion. Drinking buttermilk mixed with roasted cumin and black salt after meals is also beneficial for the stomach.

Apart from this, taking a light walk after meals, not drinking water between meals but after 30 minutes, eating light and early dinner, and drinking lukewarm water in the morning helps in maintaining the digestive fire.
