Jamnagar, 24 September (IANS). Ayurveda Education and Research Institute (ITRA), located in Jamnagar, Gujarat, organized several successful programs to commemorate Ayurveda Day. ITRA Director Dr. Tanuja Nisari gave information about this in a press conference on Wednesday.
Dr. Tanuja said that this institute is working for the goal of all round development through human to animals, from research to technology, Ayurveda. With the help of technology, Ayurveda has become easier for the people and for the welfare of the Earth from the new modern era steps in the field of Ayurveda and Ayurveda and Veterinary (Veterinary) science.
The Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India has declared 23 September as National Ayurveda Day. To celebrate this day, various and special programs were already organized a month in advance and it was celebrated not only in India but all over the world. The festival was also celebrated by the Ayurveda Education and Research Institute in Jamnagar, which through special activities, realized this year’s Ayurveda Day theme ‘Ayurveda for the people and for the welfare of the earth’.
Two important initiatives of ITRA opened a new direction of development with innovative works in the field of Ayurveda. Digital conversion of Ayurveda: A bridge between tradition and technology was held in ITRA ‘Digital Conversion of Ayurveda: A conference titled a bridge between tradition and technology’. The conference was attended by experts from national and international level institutes including GTMC Director of the World Health Organization and a new framework was prepared by brainstorming the future.
In the oldest science Ayurveda, the confluence of modernity, traditional medicine and global library, technological innovation in Ayurveda, digital initiative in traditional medicine, use of AI in traditional medicine, digital education initiative in the field of Ayurveda, discussions and development for science-technology, research and development were prepared and future plans were prepared.
Ayurveda and veterinary confluence i.e. ‘Mrigayurveda’. The Ministry of AYUSH has chosen the ITRA as the only nodal institute in the country for Ayurveda subject in Veterinary Health. ITRA Director Prof. Dr. Tanuja Nesari says that in this seminar to be held for the first time in the entire country on the subject of Ayurveda and Veterinary Science, ‘Ayurveda is for the welfare of the earth, for the people’.
Veterinary medicine is mentioned in the scriptures and texts of Ayurveda and it is also being treated. Veterinary treatment has been highly recommended in texts such as Gauyurveda, Hastiaurveda, Palakapya Samhita, Matangleela, Shalihotra Samhita, which shows not only the treatment of diseases but also Ayurvedic remedies to keep animals healthy.
