Chakramuni plant is a plant which has the ability to fulfill all the vitamins and that is why it is called multivitamin plant.
According to Ayurveda, Chakramuni plant has all the qualities which make it different from other plants. Its scientific name is Namasauropus androgynus, and it can be easily planted in a pot and become a part of the kitchen garden. Its leaves are slightly sweet in taste and hot in nature. It is also helpful in balancing vata and kapha. Consuming its leaves cures blood deficiency and it is considered a good source of A, B, C and D.
Consumption of Chakramuni leaves improves eyesight, prevents urinary infections and is also beneficial in improving digestion. The special thing is that its leaves can be consumed by people of all ages. Doctors also advise pregnant women to eat it in case of anemia. Its consumption strengthens the digestive power and also keeps the weight under control. Its leaves are low in fat and calories and it produces enzymes that digest food rapidly, due to which the body gets complete nutrition and does not feel hungry quickly.
Chakramuni leaves can be consumed directly but if desired, they can also be included in home food. Its leaves can be used in many dishes including dal tadka, chutney, roti, sambar.
