New Delhi, January 20 (IANS). Medicinal gum is a type of natural resin that comes from various plants, which has been used in Ayurveda and herbal medicines for centuries. It is beneficial in many problems of the body and its proper use is very beneficial for health. Different gums are useful in different diseases and help in improving body weakness, digestion, bone strength, skin and immunity.

First of all let’s talk about Katira gum. It is very beneficial in heat weakness, burning sensation during urination and constipation and cools the body heat.

Acacia gum strengthens bones, removes weakness in women after delivery and provides relief from back or joint pain. Gondni or Karaya Gum is beneficial in constipation, helps in reducing obesity and improves digestion.

Dhavada gum works to strengthen the body, heal wounds and provide energy. Moringa or drumstick gum removes weakness of bones, increases immunity and removes fatigue from the body. Mango gum is helpful in stomach diseases, diarrhea and weakness. Neem gum is beneficial in skin diseases, blood purification and boils. Peepal gum is helpful in cough, asthma and throat problems.

Banyan gum is beneficial in preventing white discharge, weakness and bleeding problem in women. Bael gum reduces diarrhoea, dysentery and stomach heat and strengthens the intestines. Guggulu gum is beneficial in joint pain, arthritis and obesity and helps in reducing cholesterol. Loban gum gives mental peace, gives relief from headache and swelling and pain.

Resin gum helps in wound healing, skin diseases and inflammation. Shallaki gum is useful in arthritis, joint swelling and muscle pain. Asafoetida gum is beneficial in gas, indigestion and stomach ache. Arjun gum is helpful in heart disease, high BP and heart weakness. Ashoka gum is beneficial in gynecological diseases, irregular menstruation and excessive bleeding.

Apart from this, Sal gum is useful in wounds, swelling and skin problems. Khair gum is beneficial in preventing mouth ulcers, diarrhea and bleeding. Tamarind gum reduces stomach heat, helps with constipation and improves digestion.
