New Delhi, November 14 (IANS). The time of Brahma Muhurta (between 3:30 am and 5:30 am) is considered to be the most powerful and beneficial in Ayurveda. The balance of body, mind and soul is most perfect in the morning. At this time, the body’s natural detox system is most active, so medicines, juices or herbs taken on an empty stomach in the morning take effect quickly.
According to Ayurveda, morning time is of Vata period, which is associated with movement, purification and awakening. Herbs taken at this time reach every tissue of the body faster, digestion, circulatory and nervous systems work better.
After overnight rest, the digestive fire reawakens in the morning. If mild herbs like Triphala, Amla, Giloy or Neem are consumed at this time, they get absorbed quickly in the body without any hindrance and help in cleansing the blood and cells. Things like neem, basil, coriander water make this process stronger.
Morning time is also considered best for mental and vital power because the mind is consoled and receptive. Yoga, meditation and pranayam are also more effective at this time. Herbs like Ashwagandha, Brahmi and Tulsi help in mental strength and reducing stress.
Modern science also believes that the body’s cortisol level naturally increases in the morning, which provides energy. Herbs and medicines taken at this time keep pace with the biological clock and are more effective. It is especially beneficial to take Amla juice, Giloy juice, Triphala powder, Neem and Basil leaves, Aloe Vera juice, ginger-honey mixture, coriander water and turmeric water on an empty stomach in the morning. These medicines help in digestion, immunity, detox and stress relief.
According to Ayurvedic routine, bathing in the morning, cleaning teeth and tongue, consuming hot water and taking medicines makes the body completely active and disease resistant.
Remember, take only 1-2 herbs in the morning and do not eat anything for at least 30 minutes after taking the juice or powder. By following this routine for 21 consecutive days, you will start seeing the difference clearly.
