This activates the acupressure points present on the palms of the hands, which are connected to various parts of the body. By doing this regularly, children’s concentration increases, memory becomes stronger and the mind becomes sharper. Rain clap is beneficial for children as well as adults. It reduces stress, improves mood and improves blood circulation.
Motor skills develop in children, their handwriting improves and spelling mistakes also reduce. Since it is like a game, children take interest in it, which increases their immunity and they also remain more active and happy.
Yoga experts say that clapping therapy plays an important role in the cognitive development of children. The method of doing Varsha Tali exercise is also simple. First, tap the thumb of the right hand on the palm of the left hand, symbolizing the first few drops of rain. Keep the voice very low. Then tap with two fingers, then three, four and finally all five fingers. Now clap with the whole palm and gradually increase the sound, as if the rain is getting heavier. When the sounds become the loudest, go back in reverse order to symbolize that the rain has stopped.
In this exercise, concentrate on breathing and practice while smiling. Do this for 5-10 minutes daily, morning time is best for Varsha Tali. This practice not only connects children with yoga, but also makes them feel connected to nature. Parents and teachers can easily incorporate it at home or school.
