New Delhi, 15 September (IANS). Most people ignore the problem of blood while brushing it as a minor matter. Bleeding from the gums is not common, but it is a warning from the body that your oral health is not going well. According to Ayurveda, the mouth is the body of the body and if it is not healthy, the whole health can be affected. At the same time, scientific research also indicates that gum diseases are not only limited to teeth, but can also connect with heart disease, diabetes and complications of pregnancy.
Ayurveda recommends natural remedies such as regular dental (brushing), gandush (oil), and Haridra (turmeric) to maintain the health of the gums. At the same time, modern science suggests that the biggest reason for bleeding from the gums is the frozen dirt on the teeth, in which harmful bacteria accumulate and infect the gums. This is called jinjivitis. If it is not treated in time, it can gradually turn into periodontitis, which causes teeth fall.
Other reasons for the gums bleeds include the use of hard brush, wrong brushing technic, tobacco and cigarette intake, hormonal changes (such as pregnancy or periods), side effects of certain medicines, and vitamin-C or vitamin-K deficiency in the body. Severe diseases like diabetes can also make gums weak. The special thing is that when blood comes out of the gums, it means that they are already swollen and are in the grip of infection. But since there is no pain in it, people do not take it seriously.
Talking about prevention of this problem, it is necessary to improve the habit of brushing first. We damage our gums while trying to clean the teeth with a very strong or hard brush. Cleaning with a brush with a soft brush and a light hand is the most effective. Apart from this, it is necessary to brush twice a day, so that the plaque accumulated between the teeth can also be removed.
In Ayurveda, it is advisable to rinse Haridra (Turmeric), Neem Datun and Triphala, which not only clean the mouth, but also eliminate bacteria. At the same time modern mouthwash also helps in reducing plaque and inflammation. In the food, vitamin-C rich amla, oranges, lemon-like fruits and vitamin-k green vegetables such as spinach and fenugreek should be included.
It is also necessary to get a dentist checked twice a year, so that any small problem can be caught in time. Bleeding from the gums can sometimes be a sign of a major disease going on within the body, so if this problem is happening again and again, then consult a doctor.
