New Delhi, April 9 (IANS). In modern lifestyle, sitting on chair for long periods of time often affects the spine. This increases back pain, difficulty in getting up and sitting, and muscle tension. Many people try to get relief from home remedies or therapy, but the problem does not get eliminated from the root.
One of these popular asanas is Chakrasana, which is also called Wheel Pose and is a part of the primary series of ‘Ashtanga Yoga’. To do this Yogasana, the body is tilted backwards and the body takes the form of a wheel.
According to the Ministry of AYUSH, Chakrasana (Wheel Pose) is an advanced yoga asana, which increases the flexibility of the spine and is highly beneficial for the heart and lungs. This asana strengthens the nerves, digestive, respiratory and endocrine systems, reduces stress and tones the muscles of the entire body.
Chakrasana makes the spine flexible and provides relief from back pain. It helps in increasing vision by strengthening the eye muscles. Removes constipation and digestive problems. It is also helpful in providing peace by reducing mental stress and anxiety. It strengthens the muscles and increases the activity of the body.
Regular practice of this can provide many benefits to the body. However, one may face some difficulties in the beginning, but practitioners can take the support of the wall to perform the asana.
Chakrasana not only increases the strength of the spine but also energizes the entire body. 5-10 minutes of exercise daily can control back pain to a great extent. If any practitioner is feeling stiff due to sitting, then include Chakrasana in their daily routine.
If there is severe pain in the back, wrist or neck, consult a doctor or yoga guru. Pregnant women or people with high blood pressure should not do this without guidance.
