Chinmaya Mudra helps in providing relief from stress, insomnia and fatigue, there will be a big change in health.

New Delhi, January 25 (IANS). In today’s fast-paced life, health is becoming the biggest challenge. Wrong eating habits, excessive time on mobile and screen, lack of sleep and constant stress gradually weaken both the body and mind. Many times people ignore small problems like irritability, fatigue and insomnia, but this habit can become the cause of major diseases in the future.

In such a situation, there are some easy exercises of yoga, which help in bringing the body and mind in balance without any side effects. One of these simple exercises is Chinmaya Mudra.

According to the Ministry of AYUSH, Yoga is not just a physical exercise, but it is a process of creating coordination between breath, mind and body. Chinmaya Mudra works to strengthen this coordination. The Sanskrit word “chinmaya” means “complete awareness” or “full of consciousness.” That is, this mudra helps the person to understand and feel his inner state. In this posture, the position of the fingers and the attention given to the breath, both together bring positive changes inside the body.

Ayurveda believes that our body is made up of five elements: earth, water, fire, air and sky. The five fingers of the hands are also considered symbols of these elements. When we connect the fingers in a particular way, the balance of these elements within the body starts improving. In Chinmaya Mudra, the thumb and index finger are joined together, while the remaining three fingers are turned towards the palm. This position is helpful in making the breathing rate deep and steady.

The first effect of Chinmaya Mudra is seen on mental health. Due to constant stress and anxiety, the mind gets tired, which affects the entire body. During the practice of this posture, when the person just concentrates on his breathing, the mind gradually starts calming down and the brain gets rest. This is why this posture is considered helpful in reducing stress and anxiety.

Chinmaya Mudra can also prove beneficial in sleep related problems. This practice is beneficial for those who do not sleep quickly at night or have frequent sleep disturbances. Improvement in sleep quality can be seen with regular practice.

This posture is also considered special for increasing concentration. Sitting in Chinmaya Mudra and concentrating on the breath strengthens the power of concentration. This improves the understanding ability of the students studying and helps the working people to maintain focus on their work.

Talking about physical health, Chinmaya Mudra also improves digestion. Stress and anxiety have a direct impact on the digestive system. When the mind is calm, stomach related problems like gas, indigestion, or heaviness gradually start reducing. Apart from this, this posture also helps in balancing the energy of the body, making the person feel more active and light.
