Chirag Paswan met hospitalized uncle Pashupati Paras, called him like a father.

Patna, April 15 (IANS). Union Minister Chirag Paswan reached the hospital to meet his uncle Pashupati Kumar Paras. Former Union Minister and RLJP chief Pashupati Paras has been admitted to a private hospital in Kankarbagh, Patna, after sudden deterioration in his health and difficulty in breathing, where he is undergoing treatment and doctors are continuously monitoring him.

As soon as Chirag Paswan got the news of his uncle’s ill health, he immediately reached Sai Hospital. After reaching there, he touched his feet and took blessings and then hugged him. During this, he took detailed information about Paras’ health from the doctors and wished for his speedy recovery.

A crowd of supporters of Pashupati Paras was also seen in the hospital, who had come to inquire about his health. Talking to the media, Chirag Paswan said that his uncle is like a father to him. He clearly said, “Politics has its place, but as a son, I have come here to know about his health.

Actually, after the death of Ram Vilas Paswan, the relationship between Chirag Paswan and Pashupati Paras had turned sour. In the year 2021, Lok Janshakti Party was divided into two parts, in which Paras took command of one faction while Chirag Paswan formed his own separate party Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas).

However, recent developments are indicating a softening of relations between the two, which has given rise to speculations of a future reconciliation.

If we talk about electoral performance, Lok Janshakti Party had won six seats in Bihar in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Chirag Paswan’s party won 5 seats under NDA, after which he became a Union Minister. In the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, his party contested 29 seats and won 19 seats.

At present, doctors have not given detailed information about Paras’s health but according to sources, his condition is stable.
