New Delhi, October 10 (IANS). Chobachini is a very powerful medicinal herb. Its scientific name is Smilax China. Its root is considered most useful in Ayurveda. It is a little bitter in taste, but its benefits are so many that bitterness does not matter at all.
It balances all three doshas of the body – Vata, Pitta and Kapha and is extremely beneficial for digestion, skin, joints and sexual health.
The first benefit of Chobachini is on the digestive system. It increases appetite, relieves problems like gas, indigestion, stomach ache and constipation. Taking 1 to 3 grams of its powder with lukewarm water improves digestion immediately. It is also a mild laxative, that is, it helps in passing out the stool easily.
This medicine also works for joint and muscle pain. Reduces swelling and pain in diseases like arthritis, gout or osteoarthritis. Chowchini balances Vata dosha and removes toxins from the body.
Its use is very effective in skin diseases. In problems like eczema, psoriasis, itching or boils, it purifies the blood and destroys the bacteria that cause infection.
Consuming it with milk keeps the skin shiny and healthy. Its antimicrobial and antioxidant properties protect the body cells from free radicals and slow down the aging process.
Chobachini also improves urinary diseases and liver functioning. It keeps urine clean and provides relief from infection. Apart from this, it is also beneficial for diabetic patients. It increases the secretion of insulin and controls blood sugar. It also works as a nerve tonic in mental diseases like epilepsy, insomnia and stress.
For sexual health, Chobchini has been called a semen enhancer in Ayurveda. It increases sperm quality in men and maintains hormonal balance in women. Its consumption is very beneficial in impotence and sexual weakness.
Many of its traditional remedies are also famous. If there is a complaint of arthritis then drinking it boiled with milk can be beneficial or you can also take it with honey along with Ashwagandha. The decoction of Chobachini and Sarsaparilla is very effective in skin diseases.
