New Delhi, May 16 (IANS). On the occasion of National Dengue Day, Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda appealed to the people to be aware about dengue. He said that cleanliness, not allowing water to accumulate and keeping the surrounding environment safe is very important. The government is strengthening dengue control through surveillance, testing, treatment and awareness campaigns. He said that people’s participation is most important in the fight against dengue.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath posted on Twitter and said, “Effective control of dengue is possible with caution, cleanliness, alertness and timely treatment. Come, on the occasion of National Dengue Day, take a pledge to keep your home, surroundings and society clean, do not allow waterlogging anywhere. Be alert, be safe.”

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma posted on Twitter, “On the occasion of National Dengue Day, let us all pledge to raise awareness about dengue and make collective efforts to prevent it. Cleanliness, vigilance and timely treatment are the most effective ways to prevent dengue. Do not allow water to accumulate around you and follow health precautions. Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary said on Twitter, “On the occasion of National Dengue Day, let us all take a pledge to spread awareness about dengue and adopt cleanliness. Awareness and vigilance are the most effective way to prevent dengue.”
