New Delhi, December 23 (IANS). A good start to the morning gives us energy and freshness for the whole day, so both Ayurveda and science say that it is very important to adopt the right habits as soon as you wake up in the morning. Many people drink tea or coffee straight after waking up in the morning, skip breakfast, or become busy with their mobile phones. But, these habits gradually harm health.
Many people get worried about work as soon as they wake up in the morning. According to Ayurveda, morning time is the time of sunrise, when the mind and brain remain at their calmest. At the same time, getting immersed in negative thinking or stress reduces our mental energy. Science also says that constant stress in the morning can unbalance hormones, which affects sleep and digestion. Therefore, preparing for the next day at night makes the morning stress-free.
Many people wake up late and skip breakfast and go straight to office or school. According to Ayurveda, breakfast awakens the body’s Agni i.e. digestive power and provides energy to the body for the whole day. Science also says that skipping breakfast slows down the body’s metabolism and can cause obesity, weakness and blood sugar problems. Therefore, it is very important to have a light and nutritious breakfast in the morning, like porridge, curd, fruits and light protein.
Concentrate on mobile or TV as soon as you wake up in the morning. In Ayurveda, this habit has been described as disturbing the mind. Science says that sitting in front of the screen during times of sunlight and freshness is harmful for the eyes and brain. Therefore, as soon as you wake up, meditating for a while, meditating, or reading a book calms the mind and helps in learning new things.
It is also wrong to exercise without warm-up. Many people think that it is good to wake up early in the morning and lift heavy weights or go for a fast run. In Ayurveda, it is considered to cause damage to muscles and bones. Science also believes that the muscles become a little stiff during sleep, so it is important to do gradual stretching, light yoga and warm-up. Only after this you start cardio or other exercises, so that the body does not get injured and energy increases.
