Do not ignore Vitamin B12 deficiency, know the symptoms and remedies from Ayurveda.

विटामिन बी12 की कमी को न करें नजरअंदाज, आयुर्वेद से जानें लक्षण और उपाय

New Delhi, October 30 (IANS). Vitamin B12 deficiency has become very common nowadays, especially among vegetarians. This vitamin is extremely important for the body, as it helps in blood formation, nerve health and maintaining brain function.

It has been called a marrow enhancing element in Ayurveda, which maintains the energy and vitality of the body. If there is a deficiency of B12, problems like fatigue, weakness, lack of memory and mood swings may occur in the body.

There can be many reasons for Vitamin B12 deficiency. Such as its deficiency in vegetarian food, weakness of the digestive system, drinking excessive tea or coffee or taking some medicines for a long time. Additionally, gut bacteria imbalance and lack of sleep can also interfere with B12 absorption.

In Ayurveda, B12 deficiency has been linked to Madja Dhatu deficiency, which is the basis of the body’s nervous strength and mental stability. From an Ayurvedic point of view, consumption of Amla, Giloy, Ashwagandha, Shatavari and Omega-3 rich seeds like sesame, sunflower etc. helps in overcoming B12 deficiency. Apart from this, nutrients like milk, ghee and moong dal provide the right balance to the body.

In modern medicine, doctor-recommended methylcobalamin supplements or B12 injections are used, but combining them with Ayurvedic herbs may prove even more effective.

Also, it is important to strengthen the digestive fire, so that proper absorption of B12 can occur. For this, consumption of Triphala powder or Hingvashtak powder is beneficial.

Apart from this, it is also important to adopt a healthy lifestyle. Sitting in the sun for 10-15 minutes every morning, limiting tea and coffee intake, doing regular yoga and pranayam, and getting enough sleep can help prevent B12 deficiency.

If you feel that there may be B12 deficiency in your body, then consult a doctor along with Ayurvedic remedies.
