In summer, melon is considered a very beneficial fruit that cools the body and keeps it hydrated. Vitamin C, Vitamin A, potassium and fiber are found in abundance in it, which help in providing energy to the body and protecting it from dehydration. However, eating melon with wrong ingredients can cause problems like stomach ache, gas, bloating and acidity.
Melon has high water content, whereas a different process takes place in the stomach to digest curd and milk. In such a situation, taking milk or curd with melon can cause indigestion and stomach upset.
If you eat melon with heavy or spicy food, it puts additional pressure on the digestive system. This may cause burning sensation, heaviness and discomfort in the stomach.
