Don't you get deep sleep at night due to stress? 'Yoga Nidra' is the easiest and effective solution

New Delhi, December 4 (IANS). In today’s fast-paced life, responsibilities at office and home make a person physically and mentally tired. In such a situation, it is a bit difficult to get good sleep even at night. One of these simple solutions is ‘Yoga Nidra’.

This is such a simple exercise that just by doing it regularly provides tremendous relief from problems like stress, anxiety, insomnia, depression and high pressure. While doing this, the whole body is in a comfortable state like sleep, but the mind remains awake. In this the person lies down, closes his eyes and follows the instructions.

By doing this regularly for 20-30 minutes, one gets good sleep. While doing this, attention is focused on each part of the body and by following the instructions a comfortable state of tension is reached, while the mind remains alert. This practice helps reduce stress, improve sleep quality and achieve deep inner peace.

To do this, lie down in Shavasana on a yoga mat in a quiet and comfortable place. As per your need, you can place a thin pillow under your head or a rolled blanket under your knees. Close your eyes and take a deep breath and exhale. Do this process for some time as per your capacity.

According to the Ministry of AYUSH, Yoga Nidra is a powerful meditation technique that induces physical, mental and emotional relaxation. It controls our senses, which reduces stress and anxiety and improves sleep quality.

Regular practice of this can calm the mind and anyone can do it, except those who have difficulty in getting up and sitting. They should avoid doing it or should consult a doctor once before doing it.
