New Delhi, December 18 (IANS). To keep the body always fit, apart from diet, dry fruits should also be eaten. Along with nourishing the cells of the body, dry fruits take full care of the mind and brain.
It is always said that dry fruits should be soaked overnight and then eaten. But why so? Today we will tell you what benefits the body gets from soaking dry fruits and which dry fruits can be consumed without soaking.
Everyone should consume almonds, but after soaking. Soaking them overnight reduces the phytic acid present in almonds, which prevents the absorption of nutrition in the body. Keeping them soaked makes digestion easier and the body gets complete nutrition from almonds.
Raisins should also be consumed in the morning after soaking them overnight. Soaked raisins have increased iron content compared to dry raisins, and they aid digestion and help the body expel heat. Dry raisins have a slightly hot nature, but after soaking, they cool the body.
Figs should also be consumed after soaking them. Due to drying, the fibers of figs become hard and hinder digestion. In such a situation, soaking the figs softens them and calcium, potassium and minerals are absorbed well. If it is taken with milk, it doubles the energy of the body.
Some seeds also help in nourishing the body, which should be soaked at night and taken. It contains amaranth seeds and fenugreek and coriander seeds. Soaking fenugreek seeds reduces their bitterness and makes digestion easier. Consumption of fenugreek water or seeds controls blood sugar and cholesterol and helps in flushing out the toxins present in the intestines.
Real seeds should also be soaked and eaten. Soaking reduces the phytic acid present in the original and makes it less difficult to digest. Asli contains protein, calcium, and iron, which protect the body from many diseases. Apart from this, walnuts, poppy seeds, cashew nuts, pistachios and magaj seeds can also be consumed without soaking.
