New Delhi, March 18 (IANS). In today’s fast-paced life, not everyone has the time or facility to stand in the kitchen and cook food. In such a situation, people fill their stomach by eating junk food from outside, which is harmful for health, but according to Ayurveda and science, there are some things which, if prepared with correct information, are beneficial for health. These include things like oats and sprouts, which provide energy to the body as well as keep digestion healthy and keep the stomach full for a long time.

Oats – In today’s time, oats are considered the easiest and healthy option. According to Ayurveda, oats are light and easily digestible food, which strengthens the digestive system. It contains fiber in abundance, due to which the stomach remains full for a long time and one does not feel hungry again and again. Science also says that the soluble fiber present in oats is good for heart health and helps in controlling cholesterol. It can be easily eaten by soaking it in milk or water and adding fruits, honey or dry fruits on top. This is a breakfast which is ready in 5 minutes and gives energy to the body gradually.

Curd and fruits- A mixture of curd and fruits is also a great option. In Ayurveda, curd is considered to be rich in bacteria i.e. good bacteria, which keep the stomach healthy. In science, these are called probiotics, which improve digestion and increase immunity. When fruits like banana, apple or papaya are added to it, it becomes even more nutritious.

Sprouts – The amount of vitamins and minerals increases in sprouted pulses. Moong or gram sprouts are rich in protein, which increases body strength and strengthens muscles. It can be made tasty by adding lemon, salt and some onion. It not only provides energy but also helps in maintaining weight balance.

Bread and Peanut Butter – If you need to eat something in a hurry, peanut butter and bread are also a good option. Peanut butter contains protein and healthy fats, which provide instant energy to the body. In Ayurveda, peanuts are considered to be strengthening, that is, it gives strength to the body. Eating it with brown bread also provides fiber, which keeps digestion healthy.

Sandwich – A healthy meal can be prepared by adding cucumber, tomato, boiled potatoes or cheese to brown bread. The raw vegetables added to it provide vitamins and minerals to the body, which fulfill the daily needs. Its taste is further enhanced with mild spices, and it is also filling.
