Eating more amount of herbal medicine is dangerous! Know what Ayurveda says

हर्बल दवा का अधिक मात्रा में सेवन करना है खतरनाक! जानिए क्या कहता है आयुर्वेद

New Delhi, 5 October (IANS). There are many myths about Ayurveda, one of which is also that by consuming more amount of medicine, you can get rid of any disease quickly. Many people also do this, because they believe that Ayurvedic medicines will not have side effects, but it is not so, because excessive intake of any medicine is harmful for you.

It is advisable to consume medicines in all Ayush systems including Ayurveda in a prescribed quantity and period, and this work should be done only under the supervision of a qualified and registered doctor.

Ayurveda is a holistic medical system, in which it is considered necessary to maintain the balance of the body, mind and soul not only the treatment of the disease. In this, the medicine is prescribed according to the nature (defect) of every person, lifestyle, diet and environment. This is why the quantity, time and duration of any medicine are prescribed extremely carefully. If these instructions are violated, there may be loss in place of profit.

For example, some Ayurvedic medicines contain metal or mineral elements, which are extremely effective when taken in the right amount, but if taken in excess, can adversely affect liver (liver), kidney (kidney) or other organs. Similarly, excessive intake of some herbs can cause allergies, indigestion, blood pressure imbalance or other problems. Therefore it is important to understand that natural or herbal medicine does not mean that it is completely safe and can be taken in any quantity.

A qualified Ayush doctor determines the amount and duration of the drug keeping in mind the condition, age, weight, nature and severity of the disease. Therefore, it is necessary that no person should take medicine from himself nor increase the amount of medicine based on the experience of others. The drug taken in the right amount and at the right time is safe and effective.
