New Delhi, February 21 (IANS). In today’s busy life, due to increase in screen time, eye strain, fatigue and lack of concentration have become common problems. In such a situation, the Ministry of AYUSH of the Government of India says that Yoga not only keeps the body healthy, but also plays an important role in increasing the power of our senses, especially the eyes.
For this purpose, the Ministry of AYUSH provides information about easy and effective yoga practice – Eye-Power-Developer, which if done daily, naturally improves eyesight, reduces stress and increases concentration.
According to experts, the method of eye-power-developer is easy. This is a special yoga practice, which consists of several simple movements to strengthen the eye muscles, relax the eyes and increase the ability to focus vision. This method is based on the principles of yoga and can be easily done at home without any equipment. Its main activities include trataka, eye rotation, blinking and relaxing the eyes by closing them, focusing alternately on near and far objects and palming i.e. covering the eyes with warmth with the palms.
These activities should be done regularly in the morning on an empty stomach or in the evening for 10 to 15 minutes. Eye-power developer has many benefits. This reduces eye strain and fatigue and provides relief from eye irritation, dryness and heaviness caused by watching screens for long periods of time. Concentration and focus increases, mind becomes calm, ability to concentrate is strengthened, which is very beneficial for students and office goers.
Vision improves naturally. Regular practice of this strengthens the eye muscles, which helps in seeing near and far objects clearly and can reduce the need for glasses. However, in case of serious problems, consult a doctor. Blood circulation to the eyes increases, the eyes get nourishment and the weakness that occurs with age slows down. It also provides peace of mind and positive energy, reduces stress, improves sleep and improves mental health.
People with serious eye diseases must consult an eye doctor.
