New Delhi, October 17 (IANS). The brain is the most important part of the body, which gives directions to the entire body, but problems in the brain indicate an emergency. In today’s busy and stressful life, cases of brain stroke are increasing.
If we look at the figures of 2025 in India, one case of brain stroke is being registered every 20 minutes and more than 18 lakh new brain stroke cases occur in a year. In such a situation, it is very important to know about this disease and know the measures to deal with the situation.
Brain stroke is a serious medical emergency in which blood flow in the veins of the brain is reduced or an artery bursts and blood starts pooling in the brain, due to which the right amount of oxygen does not reach the brain and brain cells start dying slowly. In this situation, every second is important for a person. Symptoms of brain stroke are also serious, in which the body becomes loose, the face becomes crooked and there is difficulty in speaking. In such a situation one should immediately go to the doctor.
Two types of cases are seen in brain stroke: first ischemic stroke and second hemorrhagic stroke. In ischemic stroke, the pressure of blood affects the artery due to which oxygen does not reach the artery properly. This condition is not fatal and can be cured with doctor’s treatment, but hemorrhagic stroke is fatal, in which even a slight delay can kill someone. In this, an artery in the head bursts and blood spreads to the brain. In such times, immediate doctor’s treatment is required. In such a situation, it is very important to take care of your brain and to avoid this disease, treatment can be done in advance.
The mind can be kept calm through yoga and pranayam. For this, Setu Bandhasana, Sarvangasana, Bhramari Pranayam, Paschimottanasana and Halasana should be done daily. Due to this, blood circulation in the brain improves and oxygen is available in abundance.
It would also be good to consume dry fruits. Omega-3 is most important for the brain and in such a situation, walnuts and real seeds are most effective. Both contain rich amounts of omega-3 and fatty acids, which enhance memory. Apart from this, it is also good to consume ginger and garlic. Ginger and garlic work to thin the blood and reduce the chances of clotting.
The brain can also be calmed by massaging the head. Massaging the head and neck with sesame and coconut oil will improve blood circulation and the arteries will function well.
