New Delhi, February 25 (IANS). In today’s time, awareness regarding health is increasing rapidly. Meanwhile, a common belief has been going on for a long time that it is necessary to take non-veg diet for protein, but there are many such treasures of protein hidden in vegetarian food, which along with giving strength to the body, also improves digestion, immunity and mental health. Vegetarians can also fulfill their protein needs with a balanced diet.
According to Ayurveda, only that food is considered best which is easily digested in the body and increases vitality. On this basis, milk and its products have been given a special place in Ayurveda. Paneer is the best example of this. Paneer strengthens muscles and increases body strength. The protein present in it makes the body powerful. Science also believes that the amino acids found in cheese help in muscle repair.
Milk and curd also fall in this category. Curd improves digestion and keeps the intestines healthy, which allows the body to utilize protein in a better way.
Soybean is called the powerhouse of protein. According to Ayurveda, soybean is considered to increase strength. Almost all the essential amino acids are found in it, which provide complete nutrition to the body. For this reason, tofu and soya chunks are being included in the diet of fitness lovers these days. These are also considered beneficial for heart health and help in keeping cholesterol balanced.
Pulses have been a part of our diet in the Indian kitchen for centuries. In Ayurveda, pulses are considered a sattvik food, which gives energy to the body and also keeps the mind calm. Science tells us that when pulses are eaten with rice, the meal becomes a complete protein. This is why lentils and rice are called a balanced and powerful food, which is beneficial for everyone from children to the elderly.
