New Delhi, December 27 (IANS). Sneezing is associated with cold and cough, but if sneezing starts happening repeatedly or continuously then it becomes a problem. Frequent sneezing is not a sign of cold or cough but indicates allergy. As the problem increases, headache and sinus problems may increase.
In winter the air becomes dry and the nose loses its moisture. This causes difficulty in breathing and further causes infection. Apart from this, pollution present in the air also causes infections in the lungs and nose. Many home remedies are available in Ayurveda to avoid frequent sneezing, but before that let us know in detail about its causes and symptoms.
The problem of frequent sneezing can be caused by cold air hitting the nose directly, which causes irritation in the inner part of the nose. Watering starts flowing from the eyes and nose. As soon as the smoke comes in contact, there is itching in the nose and burning sensation in the eyes. Sneezing suddenly increases at night and phlegm starts accumulating in the chest and there is difficulty in breathing. When the condition gets worse, one cannot even sleep.
To avoid all these problems, always cover the nose with a cloth, so that direct air does not fall on the nose. Second, avoid consuming cold water and take steam in the morning and evening. This will keep the nose moist and reduce irritation. Third, put two drops of sesame or sesame oil in the nose at night. This will reduce infection and maintain moisture.
Fourth, consume turmeric milk at night. This will keep the body warm from inside and protect it from the external environment. Fifth, sit in the sun for some time every day and also consume citrus fruits filled with Vitamin C. Apart from this, keep cleanliness around the nose.
