New Delhi, November 18 (IANS). If the stomach is not cleaned in the morning, the whole day is affected. If the stomach is not clean then there is lack of energy in the body throughout the day, one feels tired and there is a problem of gas after eating anything.
In Ayurveda, herbal drinks are prescribed to get relief from such problems, which will not only clean the stomach but will also keep the mind stable. The thing to keep in mind is that use these herbal beverages only at night.
The body works to heal itself at night, so always avoid eating too much. Eating too spicy food, eating late, drinking less water, lying down in bed immediately after eating food, and eating too much dry food are also the reasons for the problem of not clearing the stomach. It increases the toxins in the intestines and dirty bacteria affect the intestines. In such a situation, many types of diseases start occurring in the intestines and stomach, hence it is very important to keep the stomach clean.
In Ayurveda, it is advised to drink certain mixtures at night which control Vata dosha and also help in cleaning the intestines. For this, adding one spoon of ghee in lukewarm water and drinking it at night will provide relief. This will clear the dirt accumulated in the stomach. Ghee lubricates the intestines. However, patients suffering from diabetes and heart related diseases should reduce the quantity of ghee.
The decoction of fennel, cumin and celery also helps in cleansing the stomach. Make a decoction of these three things present in the kitchen and consume it when it is lukewarm. It increases the digestive power of the stomach. Celery has a hot nature, which breaks constipation and cleans the stomach and fennel reduces the burning sensation in the stomach.
Ginger water is also helpful in cleaning the stomach. Ginger water improves digestion and makes one feel light and comfortable in the morning. Ginger can be given by boiling it in water and adding light cinnamon along with it will improve the taste.
Consuming castor oil and lukewarm water is a panacea for breaking even the most stubborn constipation. After taking it at night, walk for some time. Pregnant women and lactating women should avoid consuming this oil.
