New Delhi, February 11 (IANS). Disorganized lifestyle is making humans sick day by day. This disease is not only physical but also mental. In such a situation, both body and mind can be kept healthy by making yoga a part of daily routine. Yoga experts recommend the practice of Hridaya Mudra, also known as Apana Vayu Mudra or Mritsanjeevani Mudra.
Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga has described Hridaya Mudra as very effective for heart health and emotional strength. This is an easy hand posture, which makes the prana energy flow through the hands towards the heart area. This increases the strength and energy of the heart and also activates the nerves associated with the heart.
Regular practice of Hridaya Mudra strengthens the heart and reduces emotional burden. It helps to release suppressed emotions. This mudra proves to be very useful in case of stress, mental conflict or any crisis. It awakens the Anahata Chakra (heart chakra), increasing the feeling of peace, love and balance in the individual.
Not only this, this posture improves blood circulation, calms the nervous system and can be helpful in removing heart related problems. This mudra can be easily done at home.
According to experts, for practice, sit in a comfortable position or Sukhasana, Padmasana position. Keep the spine straight. Place both hands on the knees, palms upward. Bend the index finger and place it on the base of the thumb. After this, touch the ends of the middle and ring fingers with the tip of the thumb. Keep the little finger straight and loose. Close your eyes and take a deep breath and focus on the heart area. Experts recommend practicing this posture for 10 to 30 minutes daily.
This posture is easy and gives many benefits and can be done by people of all ages. However, if someone has serious heart disease then start with the advice of a yoga expert.
