New Delhi, December 14 (IANS). Turmeric is not just a spice that enhances the taste of the kitchen, but it has been used in Ayurveda for centuries to fight diseases of the body.
Turmeric protects from infections and diseases, but it is no less than a hydra facial for the skin. It detoxifies the body from within, purifies the blood and eliminates inflammation, dryness and bacterial effects at deep levels of the skin.
In Ayurveda, turmeric is called Haridra, which balances phlegm and bile and its consumption makes the body disease free from inside. Turmeric also helps in healing wounds faster, but today we will tell you about some Ayurvedic pastes of turmeric, which will protect the face from becoming dry in winter and will also help in bringing back the glow of the skin.
First- Applying turmeric paste. For this, prepare a mixture of turmeric, gram flour, curd, sandalwood and mustard oil and apply it after cleaning the face. This will help in bringing glow to the face and reduce blemishes by removing dead skin cells. After the coating dries, clean it with lukewarm water and then apply moisturizer for moisture.
Second- paste of turmeric and milk. You can also use ghee instead of milk. This paste will help in repairing itchy and dry skin and milk will maintain the moisture of the skin. If there is excessive dryness on the skin then you can apply it three times a week.
Third- Paste of turmeric and neem leaves. Neem leaves powder is easily available in the market. This paste will help in healing pimples and wounds on the face. Both turmeric and neem have anti-inflammatory properties, which help in healing wounds and preventing the spread of infection.
Fourth- Paste of turmeric and rice starch. This paste will soften the face and clean the skin from within. Rice water and starch are also used in Korean treatment, whereas starch is already considered a medicine in Ayurveda. This paste will help in tightening the face and the glow of the skin will increase manifold.
