Improves digestion and removes phlegm, many benefits of Bhujangikarana Pranayam.

New Delhi, February 20 (IANS). The importance of yoga has been emphasized in Indian culture and gradually people’s attraction towards it is increasing. In such a situation, Bhujangikaran is such a pranayam, which, apart from being simple, has a deep effect on the body.

This is a sitting asana, which strengthens the back and improves the digestive system. Additionally, it is helpful in reducing stress and increasing appetite.

The Ministry of AYUSH has highlighted the importance of Yoga. According to the ministry, it is especially recommended for reducing back pain, back problems, respiratory problems and Kapha dosha. It opens the chest, increases lung capacity, improves oxygen absorption and keeps the mind calm by removing stress and fatigue.

According to Ayurveda, it pacifies Pitta dosha and provides relief from excessive heat by providing coolness to the body.

It is very easy to do this. To do this, first of all sit in Sukhasana or any comfortable posture. Keep your waist and neck straight. Place the hands on the knees in Gyan or Chin Mudra and close the eyes softly. Open the mouth and slowly draw air into the stomach like a breath, which will expand the stomach. After inhaling, close the mouth, apply Jalandhara Bandha (putting the chin to the chest) and hold the breath as per your capacity and finally, open Jalandhara Bandha and exhale slowly through both the nostrils. Repeat this process initially 5 times, which can be gradually increased to 10 times.

Regular practice of Bhujangasana strengthens not only physical but also mental health, but pregnant women, people with severe back problems, or those who have recently had surgery should consult a doctor or do it on the advice of a yoga expert.
