New Delhi, November 20 (IANS). Soups are considered very beneficial not only for taste but also for health, especially when it comes to Ayurvedic soups. These soups increase the digestive power of the body, strengthen immunity and help in keeping the body balanced during seasonal changes.
The first and lightest option is moong dal soup. It is easily digested. To make this, just cook the lentils and add turmeric, ginger, cumin and some ghee to it. It helps a lot in removing fatigue and detoxifying the body.
The second soup is ginger-garlic soup, which gives warmth in winters. Adding a pinch of black pepper enhances its taste and provides relief to the throat.
If there is anemia, weakness or to increase the glow of the skin, then carrot-beetroot soup is very much liked. Grind boiled vegetables and add black pepper and lemon. It is very refreshing.
Cabbage and spinach soup is also a good option in this season.
After this comes Corn and Mix Veg Soup, which is very tasty and gives energy in winters. Adding carrots, beans and corn to it further enhances its flavour.
If you want relief from cold and cough then basil-ginger soup is a great option. Boil basil leaves, ginger and cinnamon and filter them. Drinking it slowly provides relief.
Bottle gourd-lentil soup is considered very good for keeping digestion light. It is light and with ghee and ginger its effect becomes more balanced.
Tomato soup, liked in every home, is also a great option. Just cook it by adding ginger and a little ghee so that its bile-increasing effect gets balanced.
If there is stiffness in the joints, fenugreek-garlic soup is very soothing. Lightly fry fenugreek leaves, ginger and garlic in ghee and boil. It is especially beneficial in winter.
If you want something sweet, sweet potato soup is also a great option. This soup made by mixing cinnamon and ghee in boiled sweet potatoes gives warmth in winter and also gives relief to the stomach.
