According to the information given on PTI, Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission has been approved in the meeting held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister. Under this, now all the information related to your health will be digital.
At the same time, according to a government statement, the use of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission will make it easier to reach facilities in remote areas. Along with this, due to the information of patients being online, they will be able to get treatment properly and they will be able to get treatment anywhere easily.
What is Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission
The Government of India has taken a step to digitize the Health Department. Under this, the health ID card of the patients is generated. On which complete data of patients’ treatment and medicines are kept. Because of this, they can easily go wherever they want and get their treatment done. The launch of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission was announced on 15 August 2020. After which it was implemented in six union territories. Now it has been approved by the cabinet.

According to the information, under this, the people of the country will be able to generate their Ayushman Bharat health account number so that the digital health record can be linked. Thereby they can use the ABHA number to link all their existing and new medical records including doctor’s prescriptions, lab reports, hospital records etc.
More than 17 crore accounts
According to the information, as on 24 February 2022 in Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, 17,33,69,087 Ayushman Bharat health accounts have been created and 10,114 doctors and 17,319 health facilities have been added in ABDM. And these numbers will be increased further.
