Know when, how and who should not consume cheese

New Delhi, March 28 (IANS). For vegetarian people, the major sources of protein are cheese and soybean. Not everyone likes to eat soybean but everyone from children to the elderly like paneer.

Some people experience heaviness in the stomach, gas, sour belching and digestive problems after eating cheese. This is because very few people know the right way and time to consume cheese.

According to Ayurveda, cheese can become nectar as well as poison, the only difference is in the right way to eat it. Considering cheese as healthy, people of all ages start consuming it, but some people need to be careful while eating cheese, for example, people who have increased uric acid should reduce the intake of cheese. Because in such a situation, protein increases the amount of uric acid in the body and then the problem of joint pain increases.

People who have weak digestion should also eat cheese in less quantity. Paneer is heavy and takes longer to digest. People with weak digestion should eat cooked cheese and not raw. Raw cheese can cause stomach pain. Even if you are suffering from cough and breathing problems, you should reduce the intake of cheese. This can worsen sinus problems and aggravate colds and coughs.

Along with this, people suffering from obesity and cholesterol should also avoid cheese. Paneer contains fat, which is helpful in increasing obesity and cholesterol.

Now the question is how to eat cheese. According to Ayurveda, paneer should always be eaten fresh and home-made. There is a high possibility of adulteration in the cheese available in the market. Along with this, paneer should always be cooked and eaten with spices. Eat it by mixing it with ginger, black pepper and turmeric. Avoid eating cheese at night, as it is heavy in nature and digestion power slows down at night. In such a situation, it would be better to consume cheese at lunch time.
