Lotus posture removes anxiety, fear and restlessness, increases positive thinking.

New Delhi, February 1 (IANS). In today’s busy life, people appear more mentally tired than physically. In such a situation, yoga helps in balancing life. There are some postures in yoga which have a very deep effect. One of these is Padma Mudra in Sukhasana, which is also known as Lotus Mudra. This posture gives stability to the body.

The name Padma Mudra is derived from the Sanskrit word ‘Padma’, which means lotus. When this posture is done while sitting in Sukhasana, the body naturally remains stable and the attention becomes focused inward.

Doing Padma Mudra in Sukhasana increases the circulation of energy in the body. This mudra is considered to be directly related to the heart chakra. This mudra is considered very beneficial for those who are struggling with problems like emotional pressure, fear or negative thinking. Regular practice improves emotional balance and makes the mind feel lighter.

Sukhasana Padma Mudra is also considered very effective from the point of view of mental health. This pose encourages deep and calm breathing, which calms the nervous system. In case of stress and anxiety, this posture helps to stabilize the mind. This practice gradually reduces problems like depression and anxiety.

While doing Padma Mudra, the body activates the parasympathetic nervous system, which improves digestion. People who have acidity, indigestion or stomach related problems can get relief from regular exercise. Apart from this, this posture balances the flow of oxygen in the body, which reduces fatigue and maintains better energy levels.

Regular practice of Padma Mudra not only calms the mind, but gradually thinking becomes positive and life becomes balanced.
