Madhya Pradesh: Deputy CM Rajendra Shukla inspected CHC, instructions to provide better facilities

Semaria, 2 November (IANS). Madhya Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla inspected Community Health Center (CHC) Semaria on Sunday. He instructed the doctors to provide better facilities and maintain the cleanliness system. He obtained information about the OPD conducted daily in the hospital.

It was told that about 250 OPDs take place in the hospital every day. The Deputy Chief Minister gave instructions to start telemedicine treatment by making ID along with OPD.

He said that through telemedicine, local doctors can get proper guidance regarding patients from senior doctors of the District Hospital and Sanjay Gandhi Hospital.

Taking information about the tests, Deputy Chief Minister Shukla said that the tests done in the hospital should be done here and other tests should be sent to the district hospital. Testing should not be done in private testing centres.

He directed to increase institutional deliveries and ensure arrangements for periodic check-ups of pregnant women. He said that Asha workers should keep information about pregnant women in rural areas and cooperate in their investigation. For this, the doctors of the hospital should be in constant touch with the ASHA workers.

Deputy Chief Minister Shukla inspected the wards and other rooms of the hospital and saw the arrangements. During the inspection, the Deputy Chief Minister expressed his displeasure over the lack of cleanliness in the toilets and got the cleaning started. He instructed that cleanliness in the hospital should be maintained systematically. This is the responsibility of the in-charge, otherwise action should be taken against them and the cleaning workers who do not maintain cleanliness should also be replaced.

During this, the Deputy CM inspected the hospital building under construction in Semaria and gave instructions to complete the work in a quality manner and within the time limit. He said that with the construction of the new building, the medical staff will increase and medical facilities will also become better.

Deputy Chief Minister Shukla inspected the construction works of Medical College Rewa and Sanjay Gandhi Hospital complex. He said that the construction work for the expansion of the Super Specialty Hospital should start immediately. The agency should start the construction work by removing the debris from the construction site in two days. The remaining work of the cancer unit should also be completed expeditiously, so that its use can begin.
