New Delhi, June 13 (IANS). Sejal Pawar, a third-year student of KEM Hospital, has been sent on 15-day force leave following the controversy arising out of one of her statements. MBBS student Sejal Pawar is in controversy after a statement given in comedian Pranit More’s show and now the hospital administration has ordered an investigation into her statement.
Entry into hostels and college premises has been banned and the investigation report will be submitted to a five-member committee in 7 days.
According to the information, Sejal Pawar, a student of KEM Hospital and Medical College, who was embroiled in controversy over the video that went viral on social media, has been handed over to her family. Preliminary investigation has revealed that the person seen in the viral video is Sejal Pawar and what she has said cannot be accepted. The institute has decided to send him on force leave for 15 days.
Sejal Pawar will not be allowed to enter KEM hospital premises, medical college and hostel for the next 15 days. During this period, she will not be able to participate in any academic or other activity of the college.
The whole matter started with a live show of comedian Pranit More. In the show, Praneet discussed things related to medical college studies and anatomy with Sejal Pawar, who was sitting in the audience. Meanwhile, Sejal Pawar allegedly made such a comment, which created a controversy.
It is alleged that he joked about donated cadaver organs being used during medical education. In the viral video, Sejal Pawar can be heard saying that she and some of her colleagues used to make fun of men by looking at their private parts when their bodies were donated for medical research and dissection. After the video went viral, the KEM Hospital administration immediately took cognizance.
Dean of the hospital, Harish Pathak, said that appropriate action is being taken on the controversy over the statement given by Sejal Pawar during the stand-up show.
