मूंग दाल हर उम्र के लिए फायदेमंद, दिल-दिमाग को स्वस्थ और त्वचा पर लाती है चमक

New Delhi, October 9 (IANS). Moong dal has a special status in Indian kitchen. Be it khichdi, dal-rice or any healthy snack, this dal fits in every form. Both Ayurveda and modern science accept the benefits of nutritious moong dal, but there is also a warning that if dal is consumed in excess, then this very beneficial thing can also harm you.

According to Ayurveda, Moong Dal is considered ‘Tridosha Nashak’, that is, it has the ability to balance Vata, Pitta and Kapha. It is helpful in maintaining balance in the body. Moong dal is light, which means the body does not have to put in much effort to digest it. This is the reason why it can also be given to a sick or elderly person. Especially when the stomach is upset or the digestion is weak, then moong dal khichdi becomes a kind of medicine.

According to modern science, moong dal is rich in protein and very low in fat. It helps in reducing cholesterol, which reduces the risk of heart diseases. Apart from this, its glycemic index is low, which means that blood sugar does not increase rapidly after eating it. Because of this it becomes a better option for diabetic patients.

Not only this, the antioxidants and vitamins present in moong dal also strengthen the immune system. When diseases spread in the changing seasons, such things are very useful which strengthen the body from within. Things like Vitamin C, E and folic acid are found in it, which makes the skin glowing and helps in preventing hair fall.

If it is consumed excessively or in the wrong way, it can also cause harm. Moong dal contains fiber, which is good for digestion, but if someone eats it in large quantities at one go, it causes gas formation. Some people may feel bloating due to this. In such a situation, it is very important to eat pulses in right quantity.
