New Delhi, March 18 (IANS). The holy festival of Chaitra Navratri has started from 19th March. During this time, devotees offer various flowers, fruits and sweets to worship Goddess Durga, but according to the scriptures and religious beliefs, the red-seeded fruit Dadimaa is very dear to Mata Rani.

Dadima or pomegranate is also mentioned in religious scriptures, according to which among all the fruits pomegranate is most loved by the Goddess. By offering it, one gets the blessings of happiness, prosperity, child happiness, health and freedom from debt. The tradition of offering pomegranate to Maa Durga during Navratri is very old, which is considered especially fruitful. This not only pleases the mother, but also proves beneficial for the health and prosperity of the family.

The redness of pomegranate is considered a symbol of strength, life energy and positivity. Its deep red color is also associated with the power and fierceness of Goddess Durga.

There is a religious belief that offering pomegranate during Navratri brings positive energy into the house and increases good fortune in the family. Many devotees offer it specifically for freedom from debt and financial prosperity.
