New Delhi, November 5 (IANS). Allergy is a very common problem, due to which every second person is troubled nowadays. Just as we sometimes hear about a person being allergic, similarly our body also becomes allergic to some things. Dust, smoke, flower pollen, cold and hot things are the main reasons for this, especially sunlight after rain increases the problem. Sneezing does not stop, eyes water and there is difficulty in breathing due to blocked nose.
It is difficult to find out the real cause of allergy, but some Ayurvedic and home remedies prove to be very effective. For example, taking Neem Giloy juice along with Haridra Khand Churna daily provides relief from even the most chronic allergies. Drinking lukewarm lemon water on an empty stomach in the morning compensates for the deficiency of Vitamin C in the body and reduces symptoms like cold and cough.
Herbal tea made from ginger, black pepper, basil leaves, cloves and sugar candy also provides a lot of relief. Apart from this, chewing neem leaves also prevents flu-like symptoms.
If allergies occur frequently, Ayurvedic powder ‘Sitopaladi’ is considered very effective. By doing Kunjal and Neti kriya with lukewarm salt water, Kapha dosha gets eliminated from the body and chronic allergies also get relief.
Nasya Kriya of Panchakarma is also very useful in the treatment of allergies, but it should be done only after consulting a doctor. Doing yoga regularly increases the body’s immunity and naturally protects against allergies.
Talking about precautions, one should stay away from dust, smoke and pollen to avoid allergies. Reduce the consumption of cold or very hot things and avoid things like sour or pickles. Some medicines like aspirin or nimesulide can also increase allergies, so take them with caution.
The most famous medicine for allergies and skin diseases is Haridra Khanda. It is made of turmeric, ghee, milk and many herbs. Haridra Khand made at home is considered to be the most effective. It can be taken 20-25 grams in the morning and evening with milk. Those who cannot prepare it at home can consume Haridra Khand available in powdered form from the market. Its regular consumption is very beneficial in hives, itching and chronic allergies.
