Not just diet, change your routine also, learn the real mantra of staying healthy from Ayurveda.

सिर्फ डाइट नहीं, रूटीन भी बदलो, आयुर्वेद से जानें स्वस्थ रहने का असली मंत्र

New Delhi, October 22 (IANS). On hearing the name of Ayurveda, many people think that it is something restrictive, like don’t eat this, don’t do that. But in reality Ayurveda does not talk about restrictions but about balance. It teaches us how to live according to the nature of our body, and not against it.

The first thing is to eat only when you are hungry. Many times we eat food after seeing the time or eat something casually, but these habits gradually spoil the digestion. If the body is not hungry, the food will not be digested properly and will cause harm.

Secondly, our food should have six types of tastes: sweet, sour, salty, pungent, bitter and astringent. When all these tastes are included in small amounts, the body gets complete nutrition. Eating only one type of food is also not good for health.

According to Ayurveda, a balanced diet energizes your body, helps you concentrate and prepares you to deal with the hustle and bustle of every day. So neither more, nor less, just eat as much as you need.

Now talking about daily habits, if you eat protein-rich food, drink plenty of water, and keep yourself hydrated throughout the day, then your body will remain strong. This will not only increase your strength, but your mind will also remain happy and your power of thinking and understanding will also become sharper.

Ayurveda also says that health is not achieved only by food, but your entire lifestyle matters. This means that how long you sleep, how much you walk and how much stress you take, all these things affect your health. Therefore, it is very important to do some exercise every day, sleep on time and also give rest to the mind.
