Now people of UP will not have to wander to Delhi for treatment: CM Yogi

Ghaziabad, October 26 (IANS). Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attended the inauguration ceremony of Yashoda Medicity in Ghaziabad on Sunday. On this occasion, he said that Uttar Pradesh is now touching new heights in the field of health services. The state is moving rapidly towards investment, innovation and quality facilities in the healthcare sector.

He said that Yashoda Medicity established in Ghaziabad is a strong example of this. It is not just a hospital but a new definition of world class healthcare infrastructure. He said that through this institute, not only NCR but the citizens of entire Uttar Pradesh will get state-of-the-art medical facilities under one roof.

He said that the people of the state no longer need to travel to Delhi for expensive treatment, because world class healthcare is available in Ghaziabad itself. He said that in the year 2022, when the third ground breaking ceremony was held in Uttar Pradesh, Dr. PN Arora had signed an MoU with Invest UP to build a state-of-the-art hospital in Ghaziabad by the name of Yashoda Medicity. It will have all types of super specialty facilities and especially state-of-the-art cancer facilities, for which earlier people had to go abroad.

The Chief Minister said that at that time it was not believed that this would be possible so soon, but Dr. P.N. Arora, Dr. Upasana Arora and their entire team made this a reality in just three years. It is both an investment and a source of employment for more than 5,000 people. This hospital employs more than 5,000 doctors, paramedics, nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.

The Chief Minister said that the work that has been done in three years reflects the changing investment environment of Uttar Pradesh and the strength of the medical infrastructure. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has made historic reforms in the health sector in the last 11 years. Uttar Pradesh has also made notable achievements in this direction. So far, 42 new medical colleges have been established in the state, while two AIIMS (Gorakhpur and Rae Bareli) are operating successfully.

He said that the aim of the double engine government is to provide quality health care to every citizen and to develop healthy competition in healthcare. Referring to Indian philosophy, CM Yogi said that Indian Manisha says that “Shariram Madhyam Khalu Dharmasadhanam,” i.e. fulfillment of all the objectives of life is possible only through a healthy body.

He said that Yashoda Medicity embodies this spirit. State-of-the-art facilities have been provided here for the treatment of serious diseases like cancer, which till now were available only in developed countries. Chief Minister Dr. P.N. Arora, thanking Dr. Upasana Arora and her entire team said that they have set a new direction in healthcare for the citizens of Uttar Pradesh and NCR.

The Chief Minister said that projects like Yashoda Medicity are not only expanding health services but are also writing a new chapter of employment and confidence. This hospital is a symbol of the new thinking of Uttar Pradesh, which connects health, investment and service in one thread.
