New Delhi, June 8 (IANS). World Yoga Day is just a few days away. In such a situation, the Ministry of AYUSH of the Government of India is continuously advising people to include Yogasana in their daily routine to live a healthy and peaceful life. In this series, the Ministry is continuously giving information about new Yogasanas as well as the benefits of their practice.

The ministry has taught easy and effective meditation techniques. The message of the Ministry is very clear “Pause, Breathe, Reconnect” i.e. stop, breathe and reconnect with yourself. According to yoga experts, meditation is the easiest way to calm the mind, increase concentration and create emotional balance. In today’s busy life, just a few minutes of conscious breathing and meditation practice every day can bring clarity, peace and positive energy to a person’s life.

In such a situation, experts appeal to people to take out time for meditation even in their busy routine. Also explained simple technique of meditation-

For meditation, sit in meditation posture at a comfortable place and keep the spine straight. Place the hands on the thighs in Gyan Mudra (joining the thumb and index finger). After this, slowly close the eyes and lift the face slightly upward. During this, keep breathing normally.

In the beginning, just concentrate completely on breathing. Then focus your attention on the space between the eyebrows (Ajna Chakra). Sit in this position for five minutes or as long as you are comfortable. At the same time, to complete the exercise, slowly bring the attention back to the breath and then towards the surrounding environment.

This technique is very easy even for those at the beginning level of practice. Experts say that regular exercise reduces stress, improves sleep and removes mental disturbance. Yoga and meditation are very important not only for physical health but also for mental and emotional health.
