Jaipur, March 10 (IANS). Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagde was admitted to the Medical ICU of Sawai Man Singh Hospital on Tuesday after his health suddenly deteriorated during a routine medical checkup.
The Governor had reached SMS Hospital at around 1:00 pm for routine check-up including blood test.
During examination, he reportedly became nervous and then developed fever, following which doctors shifted him to Medical ICU-2 for intensive observation.
According to doctors at the hospital, the Governor is currently suffering from urinary tract infection as well as minor kidney-related problems.
His treatment is being done under the supervision of a special team of experts from the departments of General Medicine, Nephrology and Urology. Fresh samples of his blood and urine have also been collected and sent for further testing.
Meanwhile, Rajasthan Medical and Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar reached the hospital to take stock of the governor’s health condition.
Deputy Chief Minister Premchand Bairwa also reached the hospital to inquire about his health.
The hospital administration has constituted a medical board of nine senior doctors to monitor the Governor’s treatment.
This board includes experts from General Medicine, Nephrology, Urology, Cardiology, Endocrinology and Microbiology.
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma reached Sawai Man Singh Hospital and inquired about the health of Governor Haribhau Bagde. During this, Sharma talked to the doctors and got information about the Governor’s health and wished for his speedy recovery.
Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani also reached SMS Hospital and inquired about the health of the Governor. Devnani wished for the speedy recovery of the Governor.
Governor Bagde was to attend the book release ceremony of Devnani. However, the Governor could not attend the program due to sudden health deterioration.
After the book release programme, Devnani went straight from the venue to SMS Hospital, where he met the Governor.
