Regular practice of Halasana will improve your health.

New Delhi, April 1 (IANS). In the ancient tradition of yoga, every posture has been given the name of asana. The names of these asanas are usually based on the shape in which the body posture is formed. One of these important and effective is Halasana.

‘Halasan’ is made up of two words, ‘Hal’ and ‘Asana’. Plow is a traditional tool of Indian agriculture, with which farmers plow the fields. When this asana is done completely, the posture of the body is formed in the same way. That’s why it is also called Plo Pose in English.

To perform this asana completely, it is necessary for the body to be flexible. In the beginning, people are not able to do it completely, but by practicing daily, the body gradually becomes flexible and they are able to do it correctly. When this asana is done halfway, it is called ‘Ardhahalasana’.

The Ministry of AYUSH has described Halasana as an advanced yoga asana. According to him, regular practice of Halasana leads to vast improvement in physical and mental health. This asana helps in strengthening the neck, shoulders, back and abdominal muscles.

Along with this, it is highly beneficial in making the spine flexible, stimulating the thyroid gland, improving digestion and reducing stress and fatigue.

Beginners should do this under the supervision of an expert. It makes the muscles flexible and keeps the nervous system healthy. Helps in reducing stress and fatigue, thereby providing mental peace. Additionally, Halasana improves the function of the thyroid gland, which plays an important role in regulating metabolism. It also strengthens the immune system, which increases immunity. Regular practice of Halasana improves the digestive system and supplies energy to the body.

Pregnant women, people suffering from high blood pressure or neck and back pain should avoid doing this asana. Expert advice should be taken before starting.
