Relief from mental stress, Bikram Yoga gives deep peace

New Delhi, March 27 (IANS). In today’s busy life, both fitness and mental peace are very important. In such a situation, people are moving towards yoga and adopting different styles. Bikram Yoga is very special among all these styles. It is also called hot yoga. According to the expert, its benefits are available only when it is done correctly and with caution.

Bikram Yoga increases the flexibility of the body. When this yoga is done in a hot room around 40 degrees, the body gets heated quickly and the muscles start becoming loose. With this, it becomes a little easier to perform even the most difficult asanas and the body gradually becomes more flexible. This can be especially beneficial for people who suffer from stiffness.

Moreover, this yoga deeply works the muscles of the entire body. Bikram yoga consists of a series of 26 asanas that activate almost every part of the body. This increases muscle strength and starts toning them. With regular exercise people feel their body slim and fit.

Bikram Yoga also helps in detoxification i.e. removing toxic elements from the body. Apart from this, it is also effective for mental health. It helps in reducing stress, anxiety and mental pressure.

This yoga is also beneficial for the heart and blood circulation system. Exercising in hot environment increases the heart rate, which strengthens the cardiovascular system. However, people who already have heart or blood pressure problems should definitely consult a doctor before doing this.

Now talking about its practice, Bikram Yoga is done in a room with a specific temperature and humidity, where the temperature is around 40 degrees and 40 percent humidity. In this, 26 fixed asanas and 2 breathing exercises are done. Every asana is repeated twice in a certain sequence.

This yoga may seem a bit difficult for beginners, so it is important to get used to it gradually. It is very important to drink enough water before and after doing this yoga, so that the body remains protected from dehydration.
