A research has revealed that plastic is present in the blood produced in the human body. Have you ever thought that plastic can also be found in human blood? According to a recent research, it has been revealed that plastic can slowly enter the human blood.
It has been written in the published study that small particles of plastic have been found in the blood of 80 percent of the people. At the same time, this study by Dutch researchers found that polyethylene terephthalate (PET) was the most common form of plastic found in human blood. Let us tell you that PET is commonly used for the packaging of water, food and clothing. Let us know in detail-
This is how plastic enters the body
According to a report published in the British daily The Independent, according to the authors involved in the research, plastic can enter the human body through air as well as through food and drink. This is really shocking and intimidating. According to research, the ingestion of these plastic particles in the body can also cause inflammation.
Research done on 5 types of plastics
The research tested samples of at least five types of plastics, including polypropylene, polystyrene, polymethyl methacrylate, polyethylene and polyethylene terephthalate (PET). Blood samples of 22 people were taken for this test. Researchers said that 17 out of 22 people had plastic particles present in their blood.
Expansion of research is being considered
According to the scientists involved in the research, the third type of plastic found in human blood was polyethylene, which is mostly used to make plastic bags, which are used for packing clothes in the market. Regarding this research, Professor Dick Wethak told the media that our research is the first indication that there are particles of polymers inside our blood. This is an important discovery. Scientists are now considering to increase this research further.
