Dr. Priyanka Singh, Medical Officer (MD, Ph. D in medicine) of Government Ayurvedic Hospital, Nagar Ballia, said that at present there is severe heat and heat wave. Seasons and daily routine have been described very well in Ayurveda, by adopting which many diseases can be prevented.
Make this small change in your eating habits
At this time there is lack of water in the body. If we consume buttermilk, coconut water, cucumber, banana, seasonal fruits, mango panna, satui lassi (quick giver), sugarcane juice, Sri Phal juice, cucumber, watermelon etc. and juicy fruits, then the body will feel fresh and Will remain healthy.
This is a beneficial vegetable
In this season, those vegetables which contain water should be consumed. Such as – vegetables like bottle gourd, bitter gourd, ridge gourd, spinach, nenua, pumpkin, parwal peel, moong and lentils, lemonade, suran, carrot, radish, green coriander and kuduroon. After taking bath in the morning, apply cool scented sandalwood paste on the forehead.
What to do and what not to do?
Never consume hot food items during this scorching heat and heat wave season. Do not eat stale food left at home. Stay away from too much garam masala and oily food. Avoid ice cream and ice available in the market. Avoid wearing thick and unbearable clothes. Wear cotton and loose comfortable clothes. Never leave the house without drinking water. Reduce yoga currently under cold weather. Sleep early and wake up early. You can take help of some sleep during the day.
