Risk of diseases increases due to less physical activity, change lifestyle today

New Delhi, January 23 (IANS). In winter, due to laziness, it becomes difficult to get out of the quilt and the rest of the work is done by sitting on a chair in the office for hours and making your fingers work hard.

In today’s lifestyle, the use of brain has increased and physical activities have decreased. This sounds simple, but less physical activity is enough to make the body sick. Ayurveda considers low physical activity as a warning for the body.

It is said in Ayurveda, “Atiyoga, Hinayoga and Mithya Yoga, that is, these are the root causes of diseases.” In Ayurveda, the body has been called the instrument of Karmayoga. If the body stops moving then both Vata and Kapha become unbalanced. Due to less activity the body becomes unbalanced. Due to this, Kapha dosha increases, Vata dosha worsens, Pitta dosha is also affected and most importantly immunity falls. This is enough to cause very serious diseases to the body.

It is said in Charak Samhita, “Vyayamaat labhate svasthaam dirghaayushyam balam sukham,” that is, exercise gives health, long life, strength and happiness, but if the body does less activity, then many diseases surround the body, such as obesity and diabetes. If one continues to sit for a long time, the accumulation of fat in the body increases and the body’s metabolism becomes weak, which increases the chances of diseases like obesity and diabetes.

Secondly, arthritis and joint pain are also invited. If one remains in the same posture for a long time, then stiffness in the bones and muscles starts troubling and joint pain also bothers, because the joints of the bones continuously remain in the same position.

Third, the possibility of high blood pressure increases and the risk of heart-related diseases also increases. By walking, blood circulation in the body increases and oxygen reaches every part of the body along with the blood, but if this does not happen, the disease of blood pressure surrounds the body due to lack of blood and oxygen. After the problem of blood pressure, the chances of heart related diseases increase rapidly.

Apart from this, depression and anxiety, digestive disorders and immunity becomes weak.
